The 60th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (60th AES) is part of the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base, California. The 60 AES was activated on June 9th, 2020. They primarily operate on the C – 17A Globemaster III, supporting patient movement anytime, anywhere. This unit’s mission is to provide a ready force capable of rapid execution of patient movement within the Theater Aeromedical Evacuation System. Additionally, this squadron is uniquely known as one of four Active Duty aeromedical evacuation units in the Air Force. Their location of Travis is well known for neighboring the Bay Area, is only one hour away from San Francisco, and the Gateway to the West.
