Wright Patterson AFB 445th Security Forces Squadron poster art.
The 445th Security Forces Squadron is part of the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The 445 AW currently operates the C-17 Globemaster and previously operated the C5 Galaxy and C-141 Starlifter. The 445th Security Forces Squadron was originally activated as the 445th Security Police Squadron in October of 1994 when the 906th Weapons System Security Flight and 907th Security Police Flight combined under the 445th Airlift Wing. With the 1997 redesignation of all “Security Police” Squadrons to “Security Forces” Squadrons, the unit officially changed it’s name. The unit has sent members to every major theater since 9/11 and has aided with disaster and humanitarian relief both at home and abroad.
