The 349th Air Mobility Operations Squadron (349 AMOS), part of the 349th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base, California, provides global command and control support for Joint Air Operations Centers including the 603rd and 613th AOCs. From their position on the 5th floor of Erwin Hall, the highest point on Travis AFB; they coordinate essential airlift, air refueling, and aeromedical evacuation missions using aircraft such as the C-17, C-130, C-5, KC-46, and KC-135. Located within reach of San Francisco, Sacramento, and Yosemite National Park, Travis AFB is known as the “Gateway to the Pacific.” The 349 AMOS proudly features the wyvern as its mascot, symbolizing the unit’s readiness, vigilance, and strength in every mission they support around the world.
