The 437th Aerial Port Squadron (437 APS) is part of the 437th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina and supports one air base wing, two air mobility wings, and 60+ joint and community mission partners. The 437 APS is responsible for rapid global cargo and passenger movement operations while cultivating combat – ready Port Dawg Airmen. The port has a primary focus on cargo missions to South America, non – unit ULN movements, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), AA&E (Arms, Ammunition & Explosive) cargo, and outsized cargo to deployed locations in the CENTCOM theater of operations. In addition, the 437 APS supports a large number of humanitarian cargo efforts (DENTON), Presidential & Joint Chief of Staff priority movements, NASA personnel recovery missions, aerial delivery training, and emergent contingency response requirements around the globe.
