The Headquarters Air Force Future Operations directorate (AF/A35) serves as the Air Force’s premier authority for operational planning and the global integration of advanced airpower capabilities. By designing and executing complex, large – scale exercises, the directorate elevates combat readiness and fosters seamless interoperability among joint, interagency, and international coalition partners. Furthermore, AF/A35 directs the modernization of the operational test and training enterprise – managing critical live – fire ranges and cutting – edge synthetic environments — while driving strategic analysis for integrated air and point defense to ensure robust protection against a full spectrum of global adversary threats.
