The 4th Munitions Squadron (4 MUNS) was established in 2019. It consists of 14 shops that are responsible for building, storing, maintaining, inspecting, and delivering both air-to-air missiles and air-to-ground bombs. The 4th MUNS keeps the F-15E Strike Eagles and the 4th Fighter Wing equipped for training, exercises, and real world operations while deployed. Their mission is summarized by the motto “Peace through Destruction”.

Located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is home to the legendary 4th Fighter Wing, one of the oldest fighter wings in the U.S. Air Force. The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F-15 Eagle is one of the most iconic air superiority fighters ever built. Designed to achieve and maintain air dominance, the F-15 first flew in 1972 and quickly proved its unmatched performance with a perfect combat record. Its twin-engine power, advanced radar, and superior agility make it a formidable opponent in any fight. Variants such as the F-15E Strike Eagle expanded the platform’s mission set to include precision strike, all while retaining its air-to-air lethality.
