The 354th Operations Support Squadron “Huskies” are based at Eielson Air Force Base Alaska. The 354th OSS supports all flying missions of the 354th Fighter Wing and 168 Air Refueling Wing including F-35, F-16, and KC-135 aircraft. As the furthest North Operations Support Squadron in the United States Air Force, the Huskies balance the extremes of sunlight in the summer and darkness and extreme cold in the winter. They operate in the harshest of environments but do so in incredibly beautiful landscapes surrounded by pristine untouched nature. In the summer, Eielson Air Force Base is known as the “land of the midnight sun” and in the winter can receive over 20 hours of darkness. While challenging, this leads to amazing displays of the northern lights also known as the aurora borealis. The 354th OSS Huskies motto is “MUSH!!”
