McConnell AFB KC-135 – Wichita, KS
McConnell AFB KC-135 – Wichita, KS poster art.
My good friend Isaiah Thomason is a KC-135 Nav out of McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas. We went to Oregon State University together and I went to pilot training a few hours south of Wichita after we commissioned so I spent many weekends in old town with Isaiah. He’s a great friend and aviator – ‘Cheers’ Isaiah. You can see a photo of us in the gallery, taken during college, from left to right Logan Marcucci, Nick Anderson, Isaiah Thomason and the Chad Raney. – Nick
The artwork features a KC-135 flying over downtown Wichita, Kansas. The famous entrance to Old Town leads your eye to Warren Theater – one of those awesome theaters where each seat has a red button–when you push it, servers bring you food and beer. The old Ford truck is symbolic for ‘the next project when you get home’ that gets you through the long and frequent deployments.
