Maxwell AFB Wright Flyer 30th Student Squadron vintage style military aviation travel poster art by – Squadron Posters!
The 30th Student Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base plays a crucial role in training and developing future Air Force leaders. Primarily focused on officer education, the squadron is responsible for providing professional military education to students attending Air University. This includes courses on leadership, doctrine, and strategic studies. The 30th Student Squadron plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of Air Force officers by imparting essential knowledge and fostering a culture for students and instructors that empowers officers to be different. The saying “Keep the Knights Weird” (KTKW) is posted around the squadron and often heard around the hallways and in the classrooms. In the Knights believe “Culture Eats Strategy for Breakfast.”
Maxwell Air Force Base, officially known as Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, is a United States Air Force installation under the Air Education and Training Command. The installation is located in Montgomery, Alabama. Occupying the site of the first Wright Flying School, it was named in honor of Second Lieutenant William C. Maxwell, a native of Atmore, Alabama.
