The 305th Operations Support Squadron is part of the 305th Air Mobility Wing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. On April 5th, 2018, the 305th OSS celebrated its 75th Anniversary, first in service to the US Army Air Corps, and now continuing that service in the US Air Force. Originally a group of civil engineers and controllers, the 305th Airdrome Squadron filled a vital role in the Pacific Theater during WWII, and that heritage continues with the Air Force’s largest tri-service OSS, “The Rock.”
