Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11 (MALS – 11) is an aviation logistics unit of the United States Marine Corps, part of Marine Aircraft Group 11 (MAG – 11), currently based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The squadron was first activated in 1921 and is the oldest squadron within the Marine Corps. Today MALS – 11 supports KC – 130, F/A – 18 C and D, and F – 35 B and C aircraft.
Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (MCAS Miramar), formerly Naval Auxiliary Air Station (NAAS) Miramar and Naval Air Station (NAS) Miramar, is a United States Marine Corps installation that is home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is the aviation element of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. It is located in Miramar, San Diego, California, about 14 miles north of Downtown San Diego.
