Bravo Company (Bigfoot) 2-158 Assault Helicopter Battalion is part of the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade. Its mission is to deploy worldwide and conduct air assault and air movement operations in support of unified land operations Gray Army Airfield, also known as “Gray AAF”, is a military airfield located within Joint Base Lewis-McChord (formerly Fort Lewis) near Tacoma and Seattle, in the State of Washington.

Re-designated 17 October 2011 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment, and activated at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington (organic elements concurrently activated). It is comprised of HHC, three Flight Companies (A Co, B Co and C Co), an Aviation Unit Maintenance Company (D Co), a Forward Support Company (E Co),and a United States Army Air Ambulance Detachment (USAAAD) at Yakima, WA. In April 2014, the battalion deployed to Afghanistan as Task Force Warhawk in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and again in April 2017, the battalion deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and Operation Resolute Support.
