The University of Pittsburgh is the host school for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 730. Located on the 29th floor of the Cathedral of Learning, Det 730 has a sky-high view of Pittsburgh’s campus. Cadets in the Wing come from Pitt as well as fifteen other schools in the surrounding area. At Det 730, cadets participate in physical training, Aerospace Studies classes, and Leadership Laboratory (LLAB). In addition, a wing structure is used so that the cadets can be prepared for active duty operation. Every cadet serves in a wing position, and will advance to positions with higher responsibility every semester.
