Program Description. This course is designed for instructors teaching in all professional military education schools and is intended to train platform instructors to educate the next wave of Air Force and Space Force leaders by leveraging formal instruction. During this course, students will demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills, learn to facilitate instruction in an interactive academic environment, and apply skills that will enhance their abilities to accomplish duties in Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME). Additionally, they will apply various educational methodologies to reach every learner by exercising educational activities described in the Air Force Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process.
The course focuses on various teaching methods used in the EPME flight rooms such as Informal Lecture, Guided Discussion, Experiential learning activities, virtual classroom techniques, and Facilitation. The curriculum is divided into the following areas: 8T Course Foundation, Education Foundation, Classroom Management, Instructional Methodology, Curriculum/Instructional Design, Assessment and Evaluation, Human Performance and Fitness, and Performance Evaluation. While on this journey, you will be afforded the opportunity to take a deeper reflection of self through various self-awareness strategies and tools. Moreover, you will also explore instructor skill sets such as presentation skills and competencies necessary to complete all roles and responsibilities associated with Airman Leadership School, Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Chief Leadership Academy and Development Advisors. – Check out this stunning EPME Instructor Course Nose Art by – Squadron Posters!
