The 14th Communications Squadron (14 CS) provides essential communications and information systems along with information management to support the flying training mission. It utilizes a 47-person military/civilian/contractor work force with a $1.5 million annual budget. Its personnel plan, acquire, coordinate and integrate upgrades to communications & information infrastructure, as well as provide combat-ready personnel for mobility taskings.
The T-38 Talon is a two-seat, twinjet supersonic jet trainer. It was the world’s first supersonic trainer and is also the most produced. The T-38 remains in service as of 2021 in several air forces.

Location: New Orleans, LAMichael spent his childhood reading such literary classics as “Sgt. Rock” and “Enemy Ace”, spending hours copying the illustrations. He later received a B.A. in Art and still uses his comic book influence along with his love of history and aviation in his work.

The 14th Communications Operations Flight is responsible for providing high-quality voice and data switching, land mobile radio, records and publication management and traditional official mail services in support of the 14th FTW while managing Privacy Act, Freedom of Information, and Spectrum programs. The 14th Communications Squadron Plans and Implementation Flight is responsible for equipment management, providing long and short range C4 system planning for Columbus AFB, ensuring they meet Air Force architecture and integration requirements.
