The 429th Attack Squadron (429 ATKS) is part of the 926th Wing at Holloman AFB, NM. It operates the MQ-9 Reaper Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) supporting and training 700 new United States Air Force RPA Pilots and Sensor Operators annually at the largest Formal Training Unit in order to contribute to operations world wide. Holloman is only 8 miles from White Sands National Park and 25 minutes away from the New Mexico Museum of Space History. The squadron name is: “the Hunters”.

The MQ-9 Reaper (formerly named Predator B) is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of remote controlled or autonomous flight operations, developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) primarily for the United States Air Force. The MQ-9 and other UAVs are referred to as Remotely Piloted Vehicles/Aircraft (RPV/RPA) by the USAF to indicate their human ground controllers. The MQ-9 is the first “hunter-killer” UAV designed for long-endurance, high-altitude surveillance.
