They say necessity is the mother of invention. Of course, we didn’t invent coffee. But we were inspired to perfect it by the “mother of all necessities.” As fighter pilots in the U.S. Air Force, coffee is the jet fuel that kept us flying. Unfortunately, the government-issue mud we were served on base tasted more like jet fuel than coffee. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and create something better.
From air popper to Air Force legends
Our coffee roasting expertise had humble beginnings…literally, in a hot air corn popper. We learned a lot about roasting coffee from that little machine. As the aroma spread throughout the mess hall, word of our single-origin brew began to spread outside our A-10 squadron. And soon, it passed the test of multiple drill weekends and TDYs. Now our small batch coffee has fans all over the world.
What’s in a name?
A lot of people ask us where the name Attack Coffee comes from. Though it has roots in the A-10 community, today it’s a rally cry urging you to get more out of life.
