Tactical Operations Control Squadron 10 (TOCRON 10) is a United States Navy command based at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, Washington . It was established in June 2020 to manage and operate Tactical Operations Centers ( TOCs ) and Mobile Tactical Operations Centers ( MTOCs ) that support maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft squadrons, specifically those under Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing 10 (CPRW – 10). • Mission: TOCRON – 10 provides tactical support, intelligence, and data analysis for P – 8A Poseidon patrol squadrons, enhancing their situational awareness during missions. • Location: The command is stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, with additional operations supporting units at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. • Structure: The squadron oversees six Mobile Tactical Operations Centers ( MTOCs ), which allow for deployable tactical support. • Command History: As of late 2023, the unit is referred to by the nickname “Kraken,” and it held its second – ever change of command in September 2023. • Squadron Insignia: The squadron insignia was approved and officially documented in June 2020, featuring a Kraken, symbolizing their command SP over maritime operations
