The 27 Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron is comprised of four flights providing total support to the 27th Special Operations Wing and associate units by meeting a full spectrum of logistic needs through the efficient supply of material and fuels, the expert management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet, the performance of traffic management service and the planning and management of the entire mobilization process to ensure an accurate and rapid response in the wing’s commitment to support global military operations. 27 Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron’s has always answered the nations call. Getting its start in 1947 at Kearney Army Air Field, TX to Itazuke AB Japan in 1951, or its arrival to Cannon AFB, NM in 1969 the 27 SOLRS will always be a pillar of the Steadfast Line!

27 SOLRS history: Designated Supply Squadron, 27 Maintenance and Supply Group, on 28 Jul 1947. Organized on 15 Aug 1947. Discontinued on 1 Aug 1948. Consolidated (8 Feb 1988) with the 27 Supply Squadron, Fighter, Two Engine, which was constituted on 14 Jun 1948. Â Activated on 1 Aug 1948. Â Redesignated: Â 27 Supply Squadron, Fighter, Jet, on 16 Dec 1949; 27 Supply Squadron on 1 Feb 1950. Inactivated on 16 Jun 1952. Activated on 1 Jan 1958. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1958. Activated on 8 Jun 1969. Redesignated: 27 Logistics Readiness Squadron on 15 Jul 2002; 27 Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron on 1 Oct 2007.
Cannon Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base, located approximately 7 miles southwest of Clovis, New Mexico. The host unit at Cannon is the 27th Special Operations Wing also known as “The Steadfast Line”. It is under the jurisdiction of Air Force Special Operations Command which activated at the base on 1 October 2007. The 27 SOW plans and executes specialized and contingency operations using advanced aircraft, tactics and air refueling techniques to infiltrate, exfiltrate and resupply special operations forces and provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and close air support in support of SOF operations.
