The 91st Missile Security Operations Squadron (91 MSOS) at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, is a critical component of the 91st Security Forces Group, 91st Missile Wing. Tasked with overseeing nuclear convoy operations and tactical response forces, the 91 MSOS ensures the security of an 8,500 square-mile intercontinental ballistic missile complex. They also manage logistics, training, and resources for 1,000 Airmen executing daily security missions. Known as the Nordic Warriors, with Thor, the god of thunder, as their mascot, they embody the motto “Ready For Anything.”

The 91 MSOS is responsible for nuclear convoy operations and tactical response forces providing capabilities to an 8,500 square – mile intercontinental ballistic missile complex. Additionally, they oversee logistics, training, and resourcing for the 1,000 Airmen of the 91st Security Forces Group executing daily security operations. They are the Nordic Warriors, their mascot is Thor, god of thunder, and are “Ready For Anything”.
Minot Air Force Base is a United States Air Force installation in Ward County, North Dakota, thirteen miles north of the city of Minot. Minot AFB is the home of two major wings: the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing, both of the Air Force Global Strike Command. Originally opened 67 years ago in 1957 as an Air Defense Command (ADC) base, Minot AFB became a major Strategic Air Command (SAC) base in the early 1960s, with both nuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missiles and manned bombers and aerial refueling aircraft. When SAC was inactivated in 1992, the nuclear mission of the base was divided between two commands, with missiles going to the Air Force Space Command and manned bombers to the Air Combat Command. With the establishment of AFGSC in 2009, missiles and manned bombers (excluding the B-1 Lancer) were transferred from AFSPC and ACC to AFGSC in late 2009 and early 2010.
