The 81st Air Control Squadron, also known as “WETSTONE”, is the only active duty Air Force squadron authorized to perform Battle Management Command and Control during live-fire air-to-air weapons evaluations as part of the Air Force’s Weapons System Evaluation Program. During WSEP East 22.06, the 81st ACS, along with eight other units across two installations, performed this mission with an all-female crew in honor of Women’s History Month. The 81st ACS provides proofing competition profiles, command and control targeting and mission coordination center operations in support of Combat Archer, and the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group’s Weapons System Evaluation Program East.
Tyndall Air Force Base is a United States Air Force Base located 12 miles east of Panama City, Florida. The base was named in honor of World War I pilot 1st Lt. Frank Benjamin Tyndall.
