The 71st Flying Training Wing at Vance Air Force Base is a location for Undergraduate Pilot Training. It hosts the T-6, T-1, and T-38 planes. Vance is located in rural Oklahoma which is known for their tumbleweeds, crosswinds, and tornados. The motto that you walk under to get to the flight line says “no guts no glory”.

The patch in the upper right corner is the Aerospace Physiology patch. Aerospace Physiologists at Vance AFB fly all three of the planes.
