The 25th Operations Support Squadron is part of the 25th Attack Wing at Shaw AFB , SC. It is Air Combat Command’s only combat MQ – 9 operations support squadron and delivers 24/7/365 support and readiness to 7 attack squadrons in support of US national objectives. Shaw AFB is located 30 minutes from Columbia, SC, 2 hours from historical Charleston, SC, and Myrtle Beach. The squadron’s “mascot” the Warhorse and its motto is “Lead the Attack!”

Shaw Air Force Base (Shaw AFB) is a United States Air Force base located approximately 8.4 miles west-northwest of downtown Sumter, South Carolina. It is one of the largest military bases operated by the United States, and is under the jurisdiction of USAF Air Combat Command. The 20th Fighter Wing is the host unit. The base is named in honor of World War I pilot 1st Lieutenant Ervin David Shaw. Lt. Shaw was one of the first Americans to fly combat missions in World War I. Shaw, a Sumter County native, was assigned to No. 48 Squadron of the Royal Air Force, as a member of the Royal Canadian Flying Corps.
