The E-2 Hawkeye is the U.S. Navy’s premier airborne early warning and command-and-control aircraft, serving as the “eyes of the fleet” since its introduction in the 1960s. Designed for carrier-based operations, the E-2 provides real-time battle management, surveillance, and threat detection, ensuring unmatched situational awareness for naval and joint forces. The latest variant, the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, features cutting-edge radar and avionics, extending its capabilities in modern warfare and maritime operations. Operated by highly skilled crews, the Hawkeye plays a critical role in air defense, strike coordination, and search-and-rescue missions. With its unmistakable rotating radar dome, the E-2 remains an essential asset in securing air and sea dominance worldwide.
