Maxwell AFB 908th AMXS Art vintage style military aviation travel poster art by Squadron Posters!
Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Alabama, is the intellectual and leadership hub of the U.S. Air Force. Home to Air University, it shapes the future of the force through education, officer development, and strategic doctrine. With deep roots in aviation history, Maxwell continues to drive innovation and leadership for today’s Airmen.
The MH-139 Grey Wolf is the Air Force’s next-generation utility helicopter, designed to replace the aging UH-1N fleet. Built for speed, range, and survivability, the Grey Wolf secures strategic missile fields, transports personnel, and supports interagency operations – all while delivering enhanced capabilities and mission flexibility. The Grey Wolf is a twin-engine helicopter operated by the United States Air Force for security and support missions. The MH-139A Grey Wolf is to be used for security patrols, search and rescue missions, and personnel and cargo transport. The Air Force’s first intention was to purchase 84 helicopters for security and transportation across extensive intercontinental ballistic missile fields, and senior leader and executive airlift in the Air Defense Identification Zone, also known as the National Capital Region. It is also to be used in aircrew survival training. Check out this stunning Maxwell AFB 908th AMXS Art by Squadron Posters!Â
