The 11th Wing (11 WG) at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), Washington, D.C., plays a vital role in supporting key mission partners such as Marine One, the Coast Guard, and the Defense Intelligence Agency. Known as “The Chief’s Own,” the 11 WG was personally created by the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. The Wing also oversees the Air Force Honor Guard and The Air Force Band, essential to ceremonial and public duties. JBAB, established on October 1, 2010, spans 905 acres in Southeast Washington, D.C., and serves as a unified base following the consolidation of Naval Support Facility Anacostia and Bolling Air Force Base.

The 11 WG is known as “The Chief’s Own”, an honorific originally intended to reflect that the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force personally created the organization.
The Sikorsky VH-60N White Hawk is a special variant of the Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk used for transport of the President of the United States as Marine One. It entered service in the year 1988 and it is still in operation today.It carries the president of the United States of America and it is a VIP helicopter.It makes special trips and takes off on the White House’s lawn.
Joint Base Anacostia–Bolling (JBAB) is a 905-acre military installation, located in Southwest Washington, D.C., established on 1 October 2010 in accordance with congressional legislation implementing the recommendations of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission. The legislation ordered the consolidation of Naval Support Facility Anacostia and Bolling Air Force Base, which were adjoining but separate military installations into a single joint base, one of twelve formed in the country as a result of the law. The base hosts the Defense Intelligence Agency Headquarters amongst its other responsibilities. The only aeronautical facility at the base is a 100-by-100-foot helipad.
