The 63d Fighter Squadron (63 FS) is part of the United States Air Force′s 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. On 1 August 2016, the squadron reactivated with a new mission to train US and Partner F-35 pilots in the F-35 Lightning II. With an operational history extending back to World War II, it had most recently operated F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft prior to its reactivation as a F-35A squadron. (See more below)
