The 457th Airlift Squadron (457 AS) is part of the 375th Air Mobility Wing and is stationed at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. It operates C-21 aircraft providing executive airlift to our nation’s military leaders. Their Motto: “The Wings of Command”. The C-21 is a twin turbofan-engine aircraft used for cargo and passenger airlift. The aircraft is the military version of the Lear Jet 35A business jet. In addition to providing cargo and passenger airlift, the aircraft is capable of transporting one litter or five ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuations.
