The 97th Operations Group (97 OG) is part of the 97th Air Mobility Wing at Altus AFB, Oklahoma. It is home to the Air Mobility Training Center and operates the world’s only KC-135, C-17A, and KC-46 Formal Training Units. The 97 OG trains over 2,000 crew members annually supporting the Air Mobility needs of the United States Air Force and our partner nations.
Altus Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) east-northeast of Altus, Oklahoma. The host unit at Altus AFB is the 97th Air Mobility Wing (97 AMW), assigned to the Nineteenth Air Force (19 AF) of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC).
