The 457th Fighter Squadron is part of the 301st Fighter Group in Ft Worth, Texas. The base, formally known as Carswell AFB, is now called NAS Fort Worth JRB, and is a Navy owned base which also houses an Air Force C – 130 squadron, Marine F – 18 Squadron, and Marine DV airlift squadron. The “Fighting Spads” are located just a few miles away from Downtown Fort Worth and have a strong connection to the local community.
