138th Fighter Wing, Detachment 1 is a deployed organization w/in the 138th Fighter Wing sitting 24/7, 365 alert at Ellington Field, Houston, TX. They are officially part of the Oklahoma Air National Guard and fly combat configured F-16Cs. They call themselves the Gulf Coast Guardians and are tasked with protecting our southern border from the Gulf Coast of Florida to New Mexico.
