Strike Fighter Squadron 105 (VFA-105) also known as the “Gunslingers” is a United States Navy strike fighter squadron based at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia. Their motto is “Tonight we ride”! The mission of Strike Fighter Squadron 105 (VFA-105) is to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies. They do so by launching the Navy’s best-trained pilots in the Navy’s most combat-ready aircraft, anywhere in the world, at any time, in order to bring precise, lethal effects upon our nation’s enemies. The squadron flies the F/A-18E Super Hornet and is currently attached to Carrier Air Wing 3 aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69).
