Redesignated as: 330 Bombardment Squadron, Heavy on 20 Aug 1943; 330 Bombardment Squadron, Very Heavy on 23 May 1945; 330 Bombardment Squadron, Medium on 28 May 1948; 330 Bombardment Squadron, Heavy on 1 Feb 1955. Discontinued and inactivated, on 15 Sep 1963. Redesignated as 330 Combat Flight Instructor Squadron on 5 Aug 1988. Activated on 24 Aug 1988. Redesignated as 330 Flying Training Squadron on 1 Jun 1992. Inactivated on 20 Jan 1994. Redesignated as 330 Combat Training Squadron on 28 Jun 2002. Activated on 13 Aug 2002. Alloted to the National Guard Bureau on 1 Oct 2002. Relieved from allotment to the National Guard Bureau, and assigned to Air Combat Command, on 1 Oct 2011. (Robins AFB, GA, 13 Aug 2002-)

Antisubmarine patrols, May-30 Jul 1942; combat in European Theater of Operations (ETO) and Mediterranean Theater of Operations (MTO), 9 Oct 1942-25 Apr 1945. Converted to a training unit in 1957, but maintained its combat-ready proficiency until inactivated in Sep 1963. Taught B-52 Combat Flight Instructors Course, 1988-1992 and the KC-135 Combat Instructors Course, 1988-1993. Trained US Army and USAF aircrew members to perform their specific roles in E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS), 2002-.
