The United States Air Force operates the F-35 MXS PMO (Maintenance, Repair, and Upgrade of the F-35 Lightning II). It is specifically under the jurisdiction of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), which is in charge of the acquisition and maintenance of Air Force military systems. The F-35 MXS PMO is based at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and is in charge of maintaining, repairing, and upgrading F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
