Aircraft Name: “Ramp Rat” (42-78454) B-24G. 721st Bomb Squadron (1 May 1943 – 15 October 1945) was a component of the 450th Bomb Group, 15th Air Force, during WWII. The B-24G (Designation for B-24D) aircraft was built by North American Aviation pursuant to a 1942 contract and was equipped with Sperry ball turret and three .50 caliber (12.7 mm) machine guns in nose. (Total: 25). The B-24 was used extensively in World War II. It served in every branch of the American armed forces, as well as several Allied air forces and navies, and saw use in every theater of operations.
