The 52nd Fighter Squadron is a US Air Force Reserve unit in the 944th Operations Group, 944th Fighter Wing, stationed at Luke AFB, Arizona. It provides world class instruction in the F-35A Lightening II supporting the Active Duty Air Force F-35 formal training unit and the partner nations in the Joint Strike Fighter program. To date it has been called upon to formally instruct South Korean, Japanese, Israeli, Turkish, Norwegian, Italian, Dutch, and Australian F-35A pilots among other partners established in the program or in procurement. The detachment’s name is the “Ninjas.”
