SAF/AQQ (Global Reach Directorate) secures and defends funding and direction for Global Reach programs. Overseeing an aircraft acquisition and modification portfolio worth over $66 billion, the team serves as aircraft program advocates in The Pentagon voicing the Air Force’s strategic message to Congress, the media and senior Defense Department leaders. The Pentagon is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, located in Arlington County, Virginia. As a symbol of the U.S. military, ‘the Pentagon’ is often used metonymically to refer to the U.S. Department of Defense. Ground was broken for construction on September 11,1941, and the building was dedicated on January 15, 1943.
