Tyndall AFB 43d FS 2d FTS

Tyndall Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base in Panama City, Florida, about 12 miles east of the city. The base was named after 1st Lt. Frank Benjamin Tyndall, a World War I pilot. 

The 2d Fighter Training Squadron (2d FTS) was reactivated in 2014 to operate Northrop T-38 Talons conducting adversary training for 43rd Fighter Squadron F-22 Raptor pilots flying air superiority missions. The 43rd Fighter Squadron conducts advanced fighter training for F-22 Raptor pilots. Both the 2d FTS and 43d FS are part of the 325th Fighter Wing and 325th Operations Group at Tyndall AFB, FL.
