The Space Analysis Squadron (NASIC/SMS) is a part of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson AFB near Dayton, OH. The Space Analysis Squadron is responsible for analyzing foreign space capabilities in an effort to maintain US space superiority. Their tag line is “Veritas Est Illic meaning The Truth is Out There. Their mission is to develop intelligence on foreign space capabilities, enabling military operations, force modernization, and policy making. We are the nation’s source for space intelligence!”

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) is a United States Air Force base just east of Dayton, Ohio in Greene and Montgomery counties. It includes both Wright and Patterson Fields, which were originally Wilbur Wright Field and Fairfield Aviation General Supply Depot. Patterson Field is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Dayton; Wright Field is located approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) northeast of Dayton.
