Det 24 or Detachment 24 is the experimental squadron for the Nineteenth Air Force (19 AF) at Randolph AFB, Texas. It operates Navy T-6Bs to develop experimental training syllabi and methodology for the entire undergraduate pilot training enterprise. The 19 AF is an active Numbered Air Force of the United States Air Force. The Air Education and Training Command (AETC), with headquarters at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, was established and activated in January 1942, making it the oldest major command in the Air Force.
