The 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, is home to the 57th Operation Support Squadron (57 OSS). It is in charge of Nellis’ diverse airfield, airspace, RAWS maintenance, and flight scheduling operations, allowing units to conduct advanced testing, tactic development, and training missions. The squadron is geographically diverse, with nearly 230 members assigned into five flights (Airfield Operation, Current Operation, Weapons & Tactics, Weather, Airspace Management). The men and women of the 57 OSS have the unique and demanding privilege of supporting over 60,000 sorties per year. They are in Las Vegas and have a view of the Las Vegas skyline from the airfield. They are a “Eagle” family whose motto is “Ops Never Stops!”
