The Tiger Aircraft Maintenance Unit (Tiger AMU) is part of the 20th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (20th Fighter Wing) at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. It is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of F-16CM aircraft of the 79th Fighter Squadron and directly supports and enables the United States Air Force’s largest squadron of Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) “Wild Weasel” aircraft.
Shaw Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base located approximately 8.4 miles (13.5 km) west-northwest of downtown Sumter, South Carolina. It is under the jurisdiction of the United States Air Force Air Combat Command.
