Dakotas Over Normandy C-47 Airborne – Cover Art

Dakotas Over Normandy –  70th aniversary Print

An amazing book “Dakotas Over Normandy” by  Lyle Jansma. – In the depths of World War II on June 6, 1944, Allied forces crossed the English Channel and invaded the coast of Normandy, France. The invasion was named D-Day, using a common military term where the D stands for the day an attack begins. Following the same route that the Allied Forces flew on D-Day, June 6, 1944. This book is a photographic journal honoring the veterans and the sacrifices they made on D-Day. May God bless all of the military personnel who continue to fight and preserve the freedom we have today.
