The 772nd  Expeditionary Airlift Squadron (772 EAS) is a provisional U.S. Air Force unit. It was assigned to the 451st Air Expeditionary Wing, stationed at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.  The 772 EAS was equipped with C-130J Super Hercules transports and supported Coalition forces engaging in combat operations as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.  The mission of the 772 EAS was to provide intra-theater tactical airlift, airdrop, aeromedical evacuation, and humanitarian relief for personnel, equipment and supplies throughout Afghanistan.

In 2011, the 772 EAS set numerous records for airdrops in a month, and in April set the standard  by completing 81 airdrop missions moving a total of 5.6 million tons of cargo.
