The 23rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit “Bomber Barons” operate out of Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. They are responsible for the maintenance on the assigned B-52H Stratofortress aircraft. Their exceptional maintenance practices provide the on-demand capability of this long range, heavy bomber that is the back bone of the US strategic bomber force. Currently, (as of 1 Nov 19), the 23rd AMU holds the record for consecutive bomber combat missions launched without a maintenance cancel.
