B-24 “Monsoon Maiden” Nose Art. Aircraft Name: “Monsoon Maiden” (42-100276)  B-24J-85-CO 425th BS, 308th BG, 14th AF. The 425th Bombardment Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with 308th Bombardment Wing at Plattsburgh Air Force Base, New York, where it was inactivated in 1961. The squadron was active in the CBI as a B-24 Liberator unit. The Consolidated B-24 Liberator is an American heavy bomber, designed by Consolidated Aircraft of San Diego, California. The B-24 was used extensively in World War II. It served in every branch of the American armed forces, as well as several Allied air forces and navies, and saw use in every theater of operations.
