Training Squadron SEVEN (VT-7) was established in July, 1960 at Naval Air Station Memphis, TN. The squadron relocated to NAS Meridian, MS one year later where it still operates today. VT-7 has the mission of training the world’s finest Naval Aviators and preparing them for service and success in the Fleet. Student Naval Aviators train in the fundamentals of strike aviation while flying the Boeing T-45C “Goshawk.”
