The 559th Flying Training Squadron (559th FTS) operates the T – 6 Texan II as part of the 12th Flying Training Wing at Randolph AFB. The 559th has flown a variety of aircraft since its activation in 1941, including the B-18, B-25, A-26, F-84m F-4 II, T-37, and T-6. The mission would be impossible to complete without the assistance of the 39th FTS, the total force integration with the AF Reserves.
