139th Civil Engineer Squadron Missouri ANG

139th Civil Engineer Squadron – Missouri Air National Guard poster art.

The 139th Civil Engineer Squadron (139 CES) is a unit of the Missouri Air National Guard 139th Airlift Wing located at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, St. Joseph, Missouri. The wing conducts tactical airlift with the C-130H2 “Hercules”. This art also depicts the Pony Express, a mail service from St. Joseph, Missouri across the Great Plains, over the Rocky Mountains and the Sierra NV to Sacramento, CA by horseback, using a series of relay stations. The 139th is a “Prime BEEF” squadron whose motto is: “Can Do – Will Do – Have Done”.

A Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force (BEEF) is a rapidly deployable, specialized civil engineer unit of the United States Air Force. Prime BEEFs provide a full range of engineering support required to establish, operate, and maintain garrison and contingency airbases.
