Elmendorf Air Force Base is a U.S. military facility in Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska. Formerly known as Elmendorf Field, in 2010 it merged with nearby Fort Richardson to form Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The 90th Fighter Squadron is a squadron of the United States Air Force. It is assigned to the 3d Operations Group, 3d Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Pacific Air Forces. The 525th Fighter Squadron is also a United States Air Force unit assigned to the 3d Operations Group and stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. Both the 90th FS and 525th FS are equipped with the highly advanced F-22 ‘Raptor‘ Fighter.
